Northern Province chart ways to promote the ‘Ndi Umunyarwanda’ Initiative
The Northern Province of Rwanda has strategized on how to promote and make famous the Ndi Umunyarwanda unity and reconciliation initiative.
It is planned that Local leaders will be equipped with knowledge about the initiative and the authority to share it with their subjects. The move was highlighted by the Governor of the Northern Province Aime Bosenibamwe on December 2, 2013 in a security meeting with police, Provincial and districts staff.

“Local leaders still have limited knowledge about the Ndi Umunyarwanda initiative, which is why we will focus on training them first,” says Bosenibamwe.
The Nd’Umunyarwanda initiative was born out of a recent youth YouthConnect dialogue. The initiative aims at promoting Unity and reconciliation as Rwandans speak openly about the tortured history of the nation as a way to build a trust based country.
Since it begun, Nd’umunyarwanda has seen a number of Hutus repent for their role in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
