Police officers undergoing training
Fifty police officers are attending two-day training on how to handle and protect seized exhibits to facilitate judicial process in criminal cases.
The course that kicked-off on Tuesday at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) Headquarters in Kacyiru brings together Police stations’ commanders (OCs) and District Judicial Police officers (DJPs).
According to Senior Superintendent Bénoit Nsengiyumva, there is need to provide such skills to station commanders as officers responsible for the supervision of daily station businesses and exhibits handling.
The training, he explained, will add to the officers’ expertise to protect the seized exhibits to facilitate judicial proceedings and help the police to accomplish its mandate. He urged trainees to follow the lessons carefully.
