Bernard Ntaganda is out of prison
The President of opposition party-PS Imberakuri, Bernard Ntaganda was on Wednesday released from prison, after serving four years for inciting divisionism among Rwandans.
Ntaganda, also the founding president of -PS Imberakuri, was sentenced by the High Court in Kigali for inciting ethnic divisionism and attempting to organize demonstrations without official authorization.
Ntaganda was sentenced to four years and fined Rwf 100,000.
P.S Imberakuri Party was marred with internal divisions before and it broke into two factions, prior to Ntaganda’s arrest.
PS-Imberakuri had secured registration, but was subsequently infiltrated by dissident members, who decided not to field a candidate.
