Gen. Rwarakabije appreciates prisoners’ work in TIG program

The Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS) boss Gen. Paul Rwarakabije on Friday the 1st.March.2013 appreciated the work done by prisoners towards the development of Gicumbi district by making beautiful and visionary roads in villages of the district.

Gen Paul Rwarakabije appreciated the work done by prisoners in TIG program and all partners that participated in it including RCS, the Rwanda Housing Authority and Gicumbi district. The same was also said by the Director General of RHA Ester Mutamba.

Protogene Mashami Nziranziza who is in charge of housing in Gicumbi district say village roads are being built starting with Nyarutarama and Gacurabwege cells. Creating these visionary roads is already done and only remains to be finished only in Nyarutarama cell.

 4.3 kilometers of the roads were built in Nyarutarama cell and only 1 kilometer out of 3 kilometers expected to be built in this year 2013 was built in Gacurabwenge cell.

These roads are being constructed by prisoners in TIG program in the partnership with RHA and Gicumbi district in the program of renovating habitation of people in Gicumbi town.
