Northern Province residents express their problems
On the 11//02/2013, residents of Musanze District were given a chance to air out their problems and therefore find solutions to such with leaders of the Northern Province.
This was done during the good governance week that involved many residents from the different sectors of the district.
The leaders were able to solve most of the residents’ problems and also give a chance to those that were not solved there.
The main problem given was the disagreements that rise from land ownership. On the other hand, Beatrice Mukangeyo a resident in the area revealed her problem of her husband who was beaten up by some people but they were punished and continue moving around without any problem.
Mukangeyo was given an explanation of not having proper evidence to this but later got a promise of working on her issue as soon as possible.
In the meeting, the governor northern province Aime Bosenibamwe told the residents that it was their right to lay down their issues and therefore find solutions to such.
The director of the Rwandan governance board Anastase Shyaka who was also present said that such a meeting gave them a way forward to solving people’s problems hence a need for such meetings.
