Rwanda | Rusizi: Social problems need be outspoken – told
Residents of Bugarama sector in Rusizi district have been asked not to keep quite over the problem they face when local authorities are there to solve them.
When some problems are beyond their capacity, local authorities help residents find legal ways of having them resolved.
To find out how problems are solved at local level, we talked to the residents and some local leaders.
Bugarama sector being one of the areas with high level of polygamy, the problems that rise are land and domestic disputes.
However, residents confirm local authorities are so considerate and rational in the way they resolve resident’s disputes.
Lucie Niyindagiye, in charge of education in Bugarama sector explains they aim at taking measures of how to solve every problem.
Niyindagiye adds that though some problems are beyond the capacity of the sector, residents are asked to report their problems to the local authorities instead of solving them in illegal manner.
